Shawn Rusan
Senior Manager
CPA, CA
Specializing in tax, Shawn is involved in corporate and personal tax planning and compliance. Shawn joined DJB in 2008 as an experienced staff, was promoted to Manager in January 2009, and to Senior Manager in January 2018.
Shawn graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University in 2003 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. He passed his CPA exams in 2004 and obtained his CPA designation in 2007. Shawn completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax program in 2008.
Prior to joining DJB, Shawn worked for a public accounting firm in Toronto. He worked for three years in their assurance group, followed by two years in their tax practice.
In the past, Shawn has volunteered at the free CPA Tax Clinics.
