Level 3 Authorization Policy for Those Speaking With the CRA

In response to recent security breaches, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is taking action to enhance security measures. This includes a new unofficial policy on level 3 authorizations.

Those speaking to CRA agents on the phone on behalf of a business or individual (accountants, appeal officers etc.), are now required to have a level 3 authorization, even if they already hold level 1 or 2 authorization on file.
