The Taxbusters of DJB Take Home the Gold!

On May 15, 2010, the Burlington Amazing Race took place in support of the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton.  Representing the Firm, as the Taxbusters of DJB, were Mark Oresti, Greg Sawatsky, Tessa Pedersen and Stephen Baines. 

After an intense, six hour race around the city, completing activities and answering questions to earn points, the Taxbusters proudly took home the gold.  The team raised a total of $1,600 for the United Way and Tessa Pedersen was recognized as the highest individual fundraiser.  All funds raised will contribute to improving the lives of local families.  Picture

The DJB Running Totals Climb for Cancer!

On May 15, 2010, the DJB Running Totals participated in the fourth annual Climb for Cancer, an event that raises funds for the Juravinski Cancer Centre located in Hamilton, Ontario.  For the second year running, the team, which was made up of Brad Williamson, Scott Newport, Yulena Wan and Heather Matthies, put forth an impressive effort.  After conquering the Chedoke escarpment stairs a total of 24 times round trip, the team raised a total of $1,700 towards cancer care!
